Ras Al Khaimah, Nov 11: His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, today received the King of Zulu, His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu, from KwaZulu- Natal in South Africa, who called on the Crown Prince at the Al Dhait Palace here.
Welcoming the King, Sheikh Saud expressed hope that his visit would further boost bilateral relations between Ras Al Khaimah and South Africa.
During the meeting, they reviewed ties between Ras Al Khaimah and South Africa and discussed ways to further bolster mutual cooperation, especially in economic, tourism and commerce sectors.
King Goodwill Zwelithini said that South Africa and the province of KwaZulu- Natal wish to strengthen economic and cultural ties with UAE and other countries in the region.
Sheikh Saud also hosted a luncheon in honour of the Zulu King.
Also present at the meeting were Sheikh Omar bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAK Ruler’s Private Affairs Department, Sheikh Faisal bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the RAK Finance Department and RAK Free Trade Zone, Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAK Civil Aviation, Sheikh Saqr bin Abdulla Al Qasimi, Head of RAK Television and Deputy Chairman of RAK Free Trade Zone, and a number of senior officials.
Sheikh Saud also received separately, Eduardo Campos, Governor of the State of Pernambuco in Brazil, and an accompanying delegation at the Al Dhait Palace.
During the meeting, they discussed the strengthening of economic and business cooperation between Ras Al Khaimah and Brazil.
