 Ras Al Khaimah, Nov 24: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received at the Al Dhait Palace here last evening a business delegation from the State of Pernambuco in Brazil, headed by Clodoaldo Magalhaes, State Deputy of Pernambuco. Welcoming the 65- member delegation, Sheikh Saud expressed hope that the visit would boost business relations between Ras Al Khaimah and Brazil, especially in the economic, tourism and investment sectors. Sheikh Saud said that Ras Al Khaimah offered tremendous opportunities for Brazilian investors and called upon them to take advantage of the favourable investment climate present in the emirate. "Brazil is a country with tremendous potential and share common trait with UAE as a land where people of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds live and work in harmony. Ras Al Khaimah would offer to Brazilian investors a well- connected gateway to a region of more than 2 billion people," Sheikh Saud said. He added that Brazilian businesses would find in Ras Al Khaimah an attractive hub to reach out to the Gulf and Asian markets. "We have created in Ras Al Khaimah a world class legal and regulatory framework along with simple and efficient processes that allow entrepreneurs from across the world to come in and translate their vision into reality,” Sheikh Saud said. Clodoaldo Magalhaes said that the delegation was impressed by the business friendly policies and the momentum of growth witnessed in Ras Al Khaimah. "We feel that the emirate offers a good environment for investments with its favourable tax structure and an efficient bureaucracy and look forward to expanding business and investment cooperation with Ras Al Khaimah," he added. The Brazilian delegation comprised senior government officials from Pernambuco and representatives of various Chamber of Commerce and Industry organizations and leading businessmen.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Sheikh Jamal bin Saqr bin Sultan Al Qasimi, and a number of officials were present during the meeting.
