Ras Al Khaimah, April 27: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received a delegation from the Emirati- American Young Leaders Cultural Exchange programme at the Al Dhait Palace here last evening.
The visiting delegation comprised 17 students from USA, who are recipients of the Harry ?Truman Scholarship and representing different American universities, and their Emirati hosts.
Welcoming the delegation, Sheikh Saud said that the cultural and academic exchange involving the youth would help in forging new partnerships which are vital towards finding the right solutions for the current and future global challenges.
In the lively interaction that followed, Sheikh Saud outlined his vision for the development of the emirate and answered questions from the visiting scholars on a wide range of topics.
The Emirati- American Young Leaders Cultural Exchange programme, organised by the Emirates Foundation, aims to enhance bilateral coordination between UAE and the USA by bringing together young leaders and scholars from both countries.
The programme which is in its third year involves a ten- day trip to the UAE during which visiting scholars would have an opportunity to get first- hand information about UAE society and its culture through a tour of the country and interactions with leaders and officials.
