Ras Al Khaimah, Oct 8: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, today received H.E. Zainul Abidin Rasheed, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Singapore, and an accompanying delegation who called on him at the Al Dhait Palace here.
Sheikh Saud welcomed the Minister and noted that his visit to Ras Al Khaimah would provide an opportunity to strengthen bilateral business cooperation. “The economic development and progress achieved by Singapore is truly admirable and provides opportunities to other countries to benefit and learn from its development experience,” he added.
During the meeting they held wide ranging discussions aimed at boosting business and investment relations between Ras Al Khaimah and Singapore.
Zainul Abidin Rasheed expressed keen interest to boost cooperation with Ras Al Khaimah on various sectors and establish sound economic partnership with the emirate.
Hailing the strong bilateral and economic relations between UAE and Singapore, the Minister noted that the meeting would provide opportunity to further promote cooperation between Ras Al Khaimah and Singapore.
Dileep Nair, Consul General of Singapore in Dubai, was present during the meeting.
Sheikh Faisal bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman on RAK Finance Department and RAK Free Trade Zone, Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Ahmed Mohammed Al Khatri, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Courts Department and Yousef Obaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attended the meeting.
