Sheikh Saud lauded the efforts made by the Zakat Fund to raise awareness of Zakat among various segments of society and called for sustained efforts to expand the activities of the Fund and extend its reach in the society.

The Minister briefed Sheikh Saud about the programmes and new projects being implemented by the Zakat Fund aimed at upgrading its services and strengthening its contribution towards social development.

Abdullah bin Aqeeda Al Muhairy, Secretary General of the Zakat Fund, explained the objectives and strategies implemented by the Zakat Fund and said that the Fund has effectively implemented steps to utilize modern technology to facilitate Zakat, including electronic payment of Zakat and launch of electronic receipts for Zakat payments.

Sheikh Khalid bin Saud Al Qasimi and Ahmed Mohammed Al Khatri, Chairman of RAK Courts Department, were present at the meeting.
