 Ras Al Khaimah, Feb 8: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, today received H.E. Maqbool bin Ali Sultan, Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Sultanate of Oman, and an accompanying delegation who called on him at the Al Dhait Palace here.
During the meeting both leaders reviewed bilateral relations between UAE and Oman and discussed ways of further bolstering investment, trade and economic cooperation, especially in the energy sector.
Welcoming the Minister, Sheikh Saud said that there was tremendous opportunity for constructive partnership between Ras Al Khaimah and Oman across various sectors.
Hailing the strong bilateral and economic relations between UAE and Oman, Sheikh Saud noted that the meeting would provide an opportunity to further promote bilateral cooperation.
Maqbool bin Ali Sultan expressed keen interest to boost cooperation with Ras Al Khaimah on various sectors and establish sound economic partnership with the emirate.
The Omani delegation included Ahmed bin Salem Al Wahaibi, CEO of Oman Oil Company and Sheikh Saeed bin Mohammed Al Buraiki, Governor of Musandam.
Sheikh Omar bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAK Ruler’s Private Affairs Department, Sheikh Faisal bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAK Finance Department and RAK Free Trade Zone, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of RAK Customs and Ports Department, Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Sheikh Abdullah bin Humaid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Office Manager of RAK Crown Prince, and other officials were present at the meeting.
Sheikh Saud also hosted a luncheon in honour of the visiting Omani minister and the accompanying delegation.
