Ras Al Khaimah, March 31: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, today received H.E. Khandker Mosharraf Hossain, Bangladesh's Minister of Labour and Employment, Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment, who called on him at the Al Dhait Palace here.
During the meeting they reviewed bilateral relations between UAE and Bangladesh and discussed ways of further bolstering investment and business cooperation.
Welcoming the Minister, Sheikh Saud said that there was tremendous opportunity for constructive partnership between Ras Al Khaimah and Bangladesh across various sectors. “It is glad to note that the projects launched by Ras Al Khaimah in Bangladesh, like the RAK Ceramics plant set up there, have been a great success and have contributed to opening up new economic opportunities for the people of Bangladesh,” Sheikh Saud said.
Khandker Mosharraf Hossain thanked Sheikh Saud for the various investment projects launched by Ras Al Khaimah in Bangladesh. “The RAK Ceramics venture in Bangladesh has contributed greatly to the growth of the industrial sector in the county. We would like to carry the investment relations forward as Bangladesh offered tremendous possibilities for new partnerships, especially in sectors like tourism and real estate,” the Minister added.
H.E. Mohammad Nazmul Quaunine, Bangladeshi Ambassador in the UAE, and Mohammad Abu Zafar, Consul General of Bangladesh in Dubai, were part of the delegation.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Humaid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Office Manager of Ras Al Khaimah Crown Prince was also present during the meeting.
