Ras Al Khaimah, May 14: H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, son of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, inaugurated the eighth edition of the International Product Presentation (IPP- 2010) exhibition at the Manar Mall here last evening.
Attended by over 45 companies from across Europe, the three- day exhibition brings to the Middle East latest European innovations in consumer products and advanced technology for home and industrial use.
The eighth edition of the exhibition, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, has on display products ranging from advanced water purification technology to latest wind and solar energy innovations and health and wellness products to cosmetics and home decor.
Oswald E. Prager, Coordinator of IPP- 2010 said, “The annual IPP exhibition in Ras Al Khaimah is now a much awaited event among European consumer product developers and technology innovators who consider it as an effective launch pad for their products to the Middle East markets.”
Elia Timani, Vice President, Business Development World Wide, Hamra Hotels and Resorts, who are the organizers of the event, said, “The IPP exhibition has registered phenomenal growth both in terms of participation of companies from Europe and the profile of products and technology showcased at the event. It has grown from a European consumer products exhibition to an exclusive event where latest European scientific innovations make their debut to the Middle East.”
He added that the position of Ras Al Khaimah as an established industrial hub has contributed to the growth of the IPP exhibition with many exhibitors finding takers for their new technologies and products from local industries.
Kay W. Fischer, one of the exhibitors and a third- generation entrepreneur representing Luwatec Gmbh from Germany said, “Our company has brought for the first time to the region a highly efficient water and air purification system based on the patented Luwatec ionization process. The water and air treatment system work by an ionization process analog to the processes taking place in nature. The system is highly energy efficient and environment friendly and best suited to the region which faces critical water challenges. We believe that the IPP exhibition would help showcase the unique technology to the Middle East region.”
Sheikh Abdullah bin Humaid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Office Manager of Ras Al Khaimah Crown Prince, Hamad Al Mutawa, Managing Director of RAK Ceramics, and a number of dignitaries were present during the inaugural ceremony.
